In addition to the expert programming and fittings, She was very patient with me and made sure I thoroughly understood how to use them and pair them with my phone and tablet. As somebody who's struggled with hearing loss since childhood, I've been working with audiologists for the past 35 years. Tahoe Family Hearing Clinic is the friendliest, most knowledgable, and most professional clinic I have ever worked with. Dr. Jenelle Sandy programmed my existing hearing instrument better than anybody I've worked with before. In addition, she ordered and programmed a new instrument that allows me to hear with a depth and clarity I haven't experienced before. I would have expected to drive several hours to a major city center and work with multiple audiologists before finding anything approaching this level of precision and care. We are so fortunate to have Tahoe Family Hearing Clinic in South Lake Tahoe. They are truly a level above the others.

I've tended to build up lots of ear wax my whole life & at times removal has been very uncomfortable, but that all changed when I discovered the gifts of a true audiologist in Dr. Janelle Sandy. Her skills are second to none, her methods have solved problems that I was totally unaware of & amazingly I now hear everything. Plus her clinic is in Tahoe, a short 10 minute drive from my home. While traveling on vacation, the plastic tip on my hearing aid had started to rip. I called, and they had me come right over, analysed the problem, and had me fixed up immediately. "I cannot find adequate words to express my thanks for the competent, professional and compassionate care I received from Tahoe Family Hearing and Dr Jenelle Sandy. I have a cochlear implant. While flying from my primary home in Miami to Reno for a summer in South Lake Tahoe, I experienced an event of vertigo, extreme tinnitus and malfunction of my Cochlear processor. I was over 3000 miles away from my audiological care team and panicked that my summer would be ruined! Tahoe Family Hearing stepped in and expedited my care, evaluated my situation and hearing, re-programmed my processor, interfaced with my Miami providers and referred me to additional local specialist as requested by my Miami surgeon. The office staff was also fabulously helpful and generous with their time trying to get my equipment properly functioning. Dr Sandy and her marvelous team saved my summer! "I have waited for some time since my last fitting to make comments, See my earlier positive comments on the Clinic’s exceptional array of hearing testing technologies. Since that review Jenelle has patiently assisted me in trying several different hearing aids which were all equally successful in quiet acoustically-friendly rooms. None were successful in more noisy environments, until my last fitting. I have moderately severe to severe sensorineural hearing loss. My last fitting was for the Phonak Audeo Infinio Ultra Sphere. It is not perfect but it is easily the best hearing aid I have ever had. I turn on the Spheric sound feature many times in non-noisy environments when I want to make sure I pick up all conversation. I have never come close to draining the battery in this setting. Others may find that a different hearing aid is optimal for their hearing loss. But the Phonak was right for me, I want to thank Jenelle for her professionalism and great patience in finding the right hearing aid for me."
